THE SLIP INN
The Slip Inn is open from 10.00am to midnight, Monday to Thursday and on Friday from 10.00am to 2.00am. On Saturday, it opens from 5.00pm to 2.00am. Find it at 111 Sussex Street, in the heart of Sydney. You can book events here (like a royal wedding reception) too.
The menu is under $20 and falls under the category ‘classic Australian pub cuisine.’
There is nothing pretentious about this –
Chicken burrito, cajun chicken filled tortilla baked and topped with cheese, guacamole & sour cream. The Slip steak sandwich, Toasted sourdough, grain fed sirloin, onion jam, salad greens, tomato relish and mustard aioli. The Slip burger, prime grain fed Aussie beef, lettuce, tomato, red onion, beetroot, aioli & tomato relish with aged cheddar & smoky bacon.
The closest station is Wynyard Station, take the York Street exit, walk down York Street until you reach Erskine street. Turn right and walk 200 metres down the hill.
There is also a happy hour (Australian wine delight) every Friday from 5pm through 7pm when drinks are half-price.
