Kids’ Sleepovers

Book far, far ahead (before you even book your flights) for this one. Children get to toast marshmallows and look for badgers in beautiful, spooky Kew Gardens (London) overnight. You get to take up to five kids, and the cost is reasonable – BYO sleeping bags, of course. Email sleepovers@kew.org. If your children are into media, films, TV, music then get thee to Yorkshire to the National Media Museum which has evening workshops and an IMAX film the next morning. True! See nationalmediamuseum. In Devon, the Paignton Zoo lets kids stay alone (you get to go out on the town). Visit paigntonzoo. If your children want to dress up as Tudors and experience ye olde English foode, then take them to the Golden Hinde for the night. This 16th century replica ship is an absolute treat for little boys. Visit goldenhinde. And finally, where the mad UK sleepover craze began – The Science Museum in London. Book early it’s madly popular with kids. Visit sciencemuseum.
