This organisation is well-known for fundraising enough, in Australia, to buy and protect some 1.4 million hectares for nature. They say –

“We think strategically and buy land in areas of high conservation value, where there are nationally significant ecosystems. Reserves are chosen based on our capacity to help protect them in the face of emerging threats, and the degree to which they’re already protected through Australia’s National Reserve System – a combined network of public and privately protected lands.”

Heal Realwilding UK

In the UK buy land to rewild it and bring nature back, joining other donors and fundraisers.

They say:
“We are raising money to buy land and rewild it – giving land back to nature, forever. We are taking direct action to tackle the climate and ecological crises and reconnect people with nature, which we’ll achieve through the rebuilding of wildlife populations, community involvement and storytelling.

We launched in March 2020 as the UK’s first charity dedicated to being a rewilding landowner and acquired our 460-acre foundation site, Heal Somerset, in December 2022. Our goal is a Heal site in every English county, with our second site planned in the north. Sites will also bring economic benefit to communities, creating new jobs and attracting investment into the locality.”
