Buying Kate and William’s Favourites
Princess Kate and Prince William will finally issue royal warrants in 2026. So is that good news for Joe’s ice-cream, which they enjoyed in Mumbles, South Wales, a few years ago?
Charles, Ben and Jerry’s
A royal warrant is a wonderful thing for an ice-cream company and Joe’s must be salivating at the thought, one might come their way.
Charles III ended his warrants with Ben and Jerry’s ice-cream in 2024, in what Yahoo called “a blow to the household names.” No reason was given. Cadbury went too. Some speculated it was because of business ties to Russia.
Heinz and Burberry
Charles inherited some warrants from the late Queen. Weetabix, Heinz and Nestle. Also at Buckingham Palace are John Lewis, Waitrose, Schweppes and Burberry.
The full list is extremely long and covers everything from from painters to removalists. (So, if you’re looking for a picture-frame maker whose work can be seen in royal palaces, start here).
A Pub for Kate?
So, just who will the Princess of Wales pick, as 2026 draws closer?
If not Joe’s ice-cream, then how about her other favourites?
Is it enough to paint her face on a pub sign (with William by her side) and hope for a coat of arms outside, too?
They were spotted at The Crown Inn pub in East Rudham with the children, when they were small.
Then, they were snapped at The Rose and Crown (where someone dreamed up the sign you see here) in Snettisham, Norfolk. In fact, Kate and William have been there a few times. It’s an award-winning venue which also offers accommodation.
Barbour and Erdem, Royal Favourites
Perhaps the Princess of Wales will opt for Barbour and Erdem, by appointment. They are two of her favourite designers.
Alexa Chung likes Barbour, too. It’s the best of British.
Kate also has a much followed list of favourites as outlined by Town and Country Magazine –
- White Superga Cotus sneakers
- Gianvito Rossi heels
- Emilia Wickstead dresses
- Ralph Lauren sunglasses.
- Alexander McQueen coat dresses (she also famously wore a McQueen wedding dress).
- L.K. Bennett shoes
- Mulberry handbags
- Stuart Weitzman boots
- Jenny Packham gowns
- Jimmy Choo sandals.
- Aspinal handbags
- Self-Portrait dresses.
Betting on Barbour?
Perhaps both Kate and William will follow in the footsteps of Charles, the late Queen and Duke of Edinburgh and opt to have their warrant added to the Barbour label.
Try Your Luck
If you run a business in the United Kingdom, you can apply for royal endorsement – and try your luck – as 2026 approaches and the Prince and Princess of Wales are free to choose their favourites. A warrant is estimated to add millions, worldwide, to a brand.
